“NO CHILD
LEFT BEHIND”
NOTE:
This transfer guide has not yet been updated to reflect
the new “NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND” federal mandate. The Education
Pre-professional Academic Committee is working to revise the
requirements listed on all Education transfer guides obtained
through the STARS System so that they will comply with the current
“NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND” federal mandate. Once they have revised
these documents, the new requirements will be reflected on the STARS
Transfer Guides for each Education major that is impacted.
IMPORTANT: Early Childhood Education,
Elementary Education, Special Education Collaborative K-6 & 612, and
Early Childhood Special Education Majors. NCLB requires that
students who major in the programs listed above must now complete 12
SH in science and 12 SH in math. Until the transfer guides are
updated, prospective transfer students should contact their
receiving institution to make sure they are taking the appropriate
science and math courses for their chosen major.
